Ingredients :
Cake :
- 200 g flour
- 1/2 sachet yeast
- 150gr sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100g melted butter
- 1 lemon for the zest and juice
- 1 cm grated ginger
- 4 tbsp Ginger Antesite
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds
- 200g icing sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- A little warm water
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and butter and flour a 30cm cake tin.
- Remove the zest from the lemon and squeeze to collect the juice
- Mix together the flour, sugar and baking powder
- Incorporate the eggs one by one
- Add the melted butter, grated ginger, poppy seeds and lemon zest and juice.
- Finally, add the ginger antisite and mix vigorously
- Bake in the oven for approx. 40 mins.
- Mix all the ingredients to make the icing and pour over the cooled cake
